For a Greener World
Kingshuk Chakravarty – INDIA
Finalist

The women of a rural poor tribal family sit at the backdrop of their mudhouse, skillfully making biodegradable organic utensils from leaves. They share part of the responsibility with men in earning a livelihood while taking care of infants. The skills are transferred generation-to-generation like a rippling flow of a river. When plastic usage is on the rise, these women unknowingly make a big contribution towards a sustainable future.
